QCC Launches E-Services for Conformity Programmes

As part of its initiative to enhance its digital transformation capabilities and to keep abreast of Abu Dhabi Government’s digital services, the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, QCC, the entity responsible for developing the quality infrastructure and raising awareness on quality standards in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, has launched e-services for conformity programmes. This has been achieved by enabling information and communication technology in order to facilitate governmental services and procedures by contributing to the digital transformation of services provided to customers.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Dr. Helal Humaid Al Kaabi, Secretary General, QCC said: “Such initiatives aim to facilitate procedures for clients and will help in positioning Abu Dhabi as having one of the most competitive digital governments at regional and international levels. This will help in supporting the strategic objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan to build a developed quality infrastructure and support the UAE’s competitive economy. All these measures are intended to fulfil QCC’s priority to enable regulators and industry partners to achieve high levels of quality and sustainability performance, as well as promoting a culture of quality in Abu Dhabi.”

Al Kaabi explained that customers can apply for 11 services from the Product Conformity, Personnel and Systems Services through the “Jawdah” online system.

“These services aim to provide conformity programs with a positive impact on our community, economy and the environment by improving the quality and safety of products. They will also aim to develop the competency level of personnel and to ensure they meet the professional requirements for each profession or craft,” he said.

This approach ensures to meet the needs of the QCC’s customers. It provides an efficient mechanism for those applying for 11 services, which vary from applying for issuance and renewal of certificates of conformity, issuance and renewal of the Trustmark license, and issuance and renewal of personnel conformity certificates.

Applicants can apply online for these services at www.jawdah.qcc.abudhabi.ae

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in 2009 to raise the quality of the emirate’s exports and locally traded products while protecting the interests of consumers and supporting the UAE’s competitive economy. QCC empowers regulators to establish and implement product safety, legal metrology and conformity schemes. The Council also sets guidelines and benchmarks to verify that products manufactured and traded in Abu Dhabi conform to the highest quality standards.
